The Emirates Business Class Lounge Dubai Airport is without doubt a massive lounge by any standards. The place just goes on and on and has lots of facilities to relax.
We all know that Emirates airline is a high class airline. I’ve often flown Emirates Business Class, sometimes on the A380. I have on occasion been able to fly Emirates First Class too! Either way I appreciate my stop over in the Emirates Business Class Lounge in Dubai Airport when I’m in transit.
The lounge is in terminal 3. It is in a fairly central point and you have to use an escalator or lift to get there. It is clearly signposted throughout the terminal.
To gain access to the lounge I had already flown Emirates Business Class from Manchester and was connecting on a flight to Brisbane. Normally I arrive at the Emirates lounge late at night, say at midnight and it is heaving. In spite of the Dubai Airport terminal 3 lounge being so large it takes more than 10 minutes to walk through it can still be packed out.
Why the Emirates Business Class Lounge Dubai Airport is the best lounge in Dubai
Thankfully I arrived at Dubai Airport around 8pm and the lounge was very quiet.
I quickly registered at the front desk and confirmed the log in details to the Emirates complimentary wifi. If you forget the log in details it is no big problem since the code is shown on many tables inside the Dubai Airport lounge.
The bigger issue is finding a power socket. There are quite a few around and they have a bright luminous blue light to help you find them. If you arrive at the lounge after midnight then you might have be extra vigilant to find a free socket.
There are many features and little hide away spots in the Emirates Business Class lounge. I often turn left on entering and hide away in a little quiet corner.
There are leather chairs and loungers here so you can snooze away the time.
This section has a little snack and drinks desk which is mostly self-service. Not to worry if it is busy though as there are numerous places to eat around the Emirates lounge.
There is even a main dining area with lots of room to chat and eat as well as a Children’s Food Corner in the Dubai airport lounge.
Children are also catered for with a children’s play room. Very cleverly designed this is sound proof so your kids will not be a nuisance to others. Okay you might be flying Business Class on Emirates but you could well be tired at 12 o’clock at night and not appreciate the sound of kids running around.
I also noticed what is called an E-Zone in the Business Class Lounge. This was far from inspiring and certainly not popular. It contained one large TV screen plus one PS3 gaming area. The place was empty and looked like a waste of space.
For a more productive time in the lounge of an “E” nature I noticed at least 2 Business Centres.
Walking around the Emirates Business Class Lounge in Dubai it was noticeable how varied the décor was. There was a wide variety of furnishings for seating. From low to high back chairs, varying colours, footrests and loungers.
Being located in Dubai Airport there was also a noticeable Arabic influence. You could see this on dividing walls and the style of small/family rooms present around the lounge.
Flying Business Class on Emirates can be a real luxury, yet we don’t all get the pleasure of flying First Class on the Emirates A380. That means we don’t have access to a shower in the air. Thankfully the Emirates lounge has this covered with a number of shower rooms. I found that the gents tended to be one side whilst the ladies on a different side. Towels are provided so no need to worry about drying off.
There is even a health spa if you want to really treat yourself.
I’ve had the chance to visit a Business Class lounge in a range of airports but I must say that the one in Dubai Airport terminal 3 is an exception. It is full of comfort and features plus lots of places to eat. All the food is free.
There is the complimentary wifi connection, which to be honest I expect to be a given in any Business Class lounge. However finding a power point maybe an issue if you arrive at peak periods through the night.
I always enjoy flying Business Class on Emirates and this is always enhanced with a visit to the Emirates Business Class Lounge Dubai Airport.
