Yes, believe it or not but this weekend Flights And Frustration will be celebrating its one year anniversary. Yes, I’ve really been going this long in the travel blogging world.
It has been quite a journey so far. The site has seen nearly 120 published articles, undergone a major revamp with a design change and had many tens of thousands of visitors (I can’t say exactly because every measure of visitors (Google analytics, my C-Panel, Jetpack etc) gives an entirely different number).
I’ve interacted with some fantastic fellow travel bloggers. Just look at my guest post page to receive a taster of the many new friends of mine.
There are so many to thank it would take me hours to list them all. However I would like to give special mention to Phil Holtberg and Agness Walewinder. They have been supporting me from virtually day one and are always reading my articles and providing great feedback through commenting. Thank you guys. (BTW Phil I still haven’t figured out why commentluv stopped working, it is very annoying).
Many thanks to everyone else who has supported me. You know who you are and I really appreciate interacting with you.
So what of the future? Well it maybe my first birthday of blogging but I hope there are many more. I aim to keep providing you with great articles so I hope that you stick around.
A Gift For You
I also have a special gift for you. Yes my reader, a special gift which is completely free and you can enjoy as part of my celebration.
Today I am launching my second site. It is not strictly a travel blog however it is focused on travel bloggers. It is called Travel Blogger Interviews and you can find it at http://travelbloggerinterviews.com
If you head over there you will find new interviews every week with some of the best as well as the new up and coming travel bloggers. This will help you discover many of my great friends in the travel community.
The site launches today with the fantastic Jonny Blair of Don’t Stop Living. Please check out his great interview then pop along to his travel blog and see why he is such a great blogger.
Before you go though, just one quick question. Are you a subscriber to Flights And Frustration? If not, why not? It is totally free to join and it means that you will never miss out on the many articles and reviews on this site.
You’ll find the sign up boxes on this page and it only takes a second to enter your e-mail. I also will never spam you, promise.
By signing up you will receive my articles on:-
-reviews of airports
-business class lounge reviews
Plus my shared experiences from more than 13 years of consistent overseas travel.
Remember I am not a backpacker writing the usual travel blog. I’ve never been to Siem Reap, I probably never will. I haven’t been to Krabi either. These are all great places but not the places I go to.
I go to the big and the small cities around the globe. I cover various parts of Europe including Germany and Italy, I visit China, India, South Africa as well as North and South America. I also love going to Australia. I visit most if not all of these places every year!
I provide a perspective from a frequent traveller who seeks some comfort and needs things to be right.
I also provide honest and open reviews. In one year I have only ever been compensated for writing one review, I also openly declared it on the article.
If someone submits a sponsored post then that is declared on the article as well. I am an honest travel blogger. This is so you know my reviews are my thoughts and my own. I am not a mouth piece for airlines or hotels. Yes, I have written a lot about Emirates. That is because I’ve flown a lot with them recently. However my reviews are open and honest. If you read the comments from other bloggers on my site you will see that my views are shared.
I would personally like to thank you for supporting me over the last year and helping to make Flights And Frustration such a success. I never take my readers for granted and appreciate your time.
Happy birthday and please check out my birthday gift to you at Travel Blogger Interviews .
