How to make your flights more enjoyable in one easy step
So what is this trick?
It is simple really.
All you have to do is wear a funny T-Shirt.
Yes, that’s it. The results are fantastic.
For example this Valentine’s Day I received this tee shirt as a gift from my beautiful bride.
The next day I was under her strict orders to wear this item of clothing whilst I took a flight with Qantas from Brisbane.
Like many of the items in my T-Shirt collection it worked like a charm.
As I arrived at the airport people looked at me and smiled. Some pointed out from a distance.
Through security and the main terminal I was greeted with people making nice remarks.
On boarding I don’t get the standard “Hello” or “Welcome on board”.
I also often get a genuine rather than a forced smile from the cabin crew.
Then comments range from “Love the T-shirt”, “that’s funny”, “cool shirt” and so on.
With this latest addition to my collection I received quite a nice compliment as an air hostess was serving a hot drink to me.
She said with a smile: “I see from your tee shirt that you don’t need sweetener”.
So have you ever tried the funny T-Shirt route? What was the reaction that greeted you?
Of course be careful that your shirt does not contain foul language or is offensive. In particular in the US there are numerous stories of passengers being denied boarding since their clothing was deemed “offensive”.
The only t shirt which I have that is borderline is one I actually bought from a local in Saudi Arabia.
Hey if the locals sell it how can it be bad?
Of course not everyone finds my humour laughable. Even the odd person on the cabin crew can come across as grumpy and just not get it.
Can you really believe that people are not amused when I write a funny blog post? What is it with these people? 😉
In recent times the tee shirt I have which gets the most reaction was another purchase from my beautiful bride. It reads “I don’t need Google, my wife knows everything.”
That is a sure fire hit in the US, even lots of passengers make comments in praise as they see it and laugh out aloud.
I must admit that so far my collection of funny tees has been acquired from years of travelling. If you struggle to find a T-Shirt which you find funny, you can of course design your own t-shirt.
