The Escape Lounge Manchester Terminal 3 is a modern, stylish although quite compact multi-airline facility with a great view of the runway.
Offering it’s own dedicated airport wifi, free to people who access the lounge, there is a range of refreshments both self service and made to order.
Seating varies from soft furnishings to plastic dining seats.
The Escape Lounge Manchester can be used by premium class (business, first or high level frequent flyers) passengers or those willing to pay for access. You can buy access in advance for each visit from Holiday Extras. Alternatively gain access for a year to this and other lounges at Manchester Airport T3 as well as lounges around the world for a year with a Priority Pass or Lounge Pass.
Once you’ve passed through airport security just look for the signs directing you towards “Executive Lounges”.
The Escape Lounge at Terminal 3 of Manchester Airport is actually located right beside the British Airways lounge so it is not too difficult to find. You will either take a stair case up a couple of flights or there is a lift available.
Registration was quick and very polite. When I arrived both receptionists were dealing with people before me but it was only a matter of seconds before I was attended to.
The Escape Lounge Manchester T3 offers a range of bright colour décor. Orange, green, brown and dark shades of navy blue make up an inoffensive but daring colour coordination.
A couple of TV screens broadcast silently the TV news, keep track of the subtitles to know what is going on. There are also some flight information screens to keep an eye on your flight.
I’m used to arriving in the morning so the self service breakfast buffet (cereals, toast, fruit, teas and coffee) is ready stocked. You can order hot food which ranges from porridge, to a bacon or sausage sandwich. These will be delivered to the table where you are sat.
The wifi is quick and easy to connect to. The current password is on display in the lounge.
The best thing about the Escape Lounge Manchester Airport Terminal 3
Then the real appeal of the lounge is clear, the view! You get probably the best viewing area in Terminal 3 of the runway. Every few minutes you watch as planes come into land. On my most recent trip a foggy landscape made for dramatic viewing.
If you are not fortunate enough to be able to visit the lounge then you can get a pretty good view from gate 53 in the terminal.
My visits to the Escape Lounge Manchester Airport terminal 3 tend to be relatively short lived due to flight times. The lounge is relatively small yet the movement of passengers through it is fairly rapid. It may not have the luxurious food selection and space of the Emirates Lounge at Manchester Airport. However, it is modern, efficient and a good starting point for any trip away. It is certainly one of the nice airport lounges Manchester has to offer the international traveller.
